A few weeks ago I came upon this scene with a beautiful egret posing in the middle of the pond, of course by the time I got my camera out he had flown off. So here is a view of the pond with all its green algae and no egret!

- I paint mostly in the alla prima style. The Florida landscape offers an abundance of subject matter and almost every day there is sunshine. My goal as an artist is to try to capture the light on the subject and I've found painting en plein air is the best way to "see" the light and improve my painting skills.
